Hey and welcome to Pets Paw! This site is to provide you with some helpful information on how to take care of your pets. Before I begin, I should tell you a little about myself and why I created this page to begin with. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of becoming a Veterinarian. My parents and I use to work with the retired Greyhounds, it was a very rewarding job finding them homes. I'm currently studying to be a Vet tech (yes, I passed my Vet assistant course :P) and hope to one day open my own clinic. I recently just got a German Shepherd puppy, her name is Kya. I have some pictures of her that you will find on the site. I guess you could say that Kya was the real reason why I decided to create this page to begin with. You see, Kya came from an owner who neglected her. When I first got her, Kya was real sick. She needed lots of love and attention...not to mention food and a bath! My Dad knew that if anyone could help Kya, it was me since I have had past experiences with helping abused animals. (No, you don't need to go and give me a gold star!:P) I have been working with Kya now for about a year. When I first got her (you will see some before and after pictures) she had little to no hair on her body and all she wanted to do was sleep her life away. Today Kya is a gorgeous girl who is filled with lots of energy! She has become my entire world and without a doubt, my best friend :D (Maybe now she won't pull me down the stairs when I take her for a walk?). Sooo yeah, this page is in honor of those special people in our lives: Our pets! I hope you find alllll this information useful...or atleast pretend it is, lol.  Take Care,
     Kristin

                   About Pets Paw:
Pets Paw is a site that I designed to help people understand animals. An animal can not tell us when there is something wrong. This is why I compare pets to babies because you have to try to figure out what the cause of their illness is. Veterinarian's, just like doctors, don't have ALL the answers to everyone's pet questions. Here on my page you will find some "how to's" and some tips to help give your dog and cat a healthy, happy life! Thanks for visiting my page!!

P.S. I Think I use too many exclamation marks!!!!
